Zenova Apps
Lulla Privacy Policy
Lulla is an account-free baby care tracker. Your baby's name and care records stay on your device; Zenova Apps does not access them or send them to its own servers. During free use, Google advertising services may process the limited device data described below.
1. Scope and controller
This policy applies to the Lulla Android app with package name
com.zenovaapps.lulla. The publisher and data controller is
Zenova Apps. For privacy questions, contact
zenovaappsteam@gmail.com.
2. Data processed only on your device
Lulla's core features process the following information locally:
- Baby profiles: name, date of birth, and profile creation/update times.
- Care records: nursing/feeding, bottle, sleep, diaper, pumping, solids, medicine, temperature, weight, height, notes, and timestamps.
- App preferences: appearance, night mode, sounds, haptics, units, reminders, notification permission state, and selected profile.
- Pro entitlement and trial state, plus an irreversible SHA-256 fingerprint of a purchase token used to avoid showing the same thank-you message twice. The raw purchase token is not stored persistently.
This information is stored in Android's app-private area using a Room database and DataStore. Zenova Apps has no user-account or sync server and no remote access to these records. Care records are not sent to Google for advertising or analytics.
3. Android backup and device transfer
If Android backup is enabled, your local database and settings may be copied to your Google account or a new device through Android's backup or device-transfer services. Android and Google control this process; Zenova Apps does not receive or read the backup. You can manage backups in your device's Google backup settings.
4. Export and sharing
You initiate every PDF or CSV export. Lulla creates the file in temporary app cache and gives the app you choose in Android's share sheet read access to that file only. Lulla does not upload it automatically. The destination service handles the file under its own privacy terms.
5. Google ads and consent
Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google User Messaging Platform may be used when free use of Lulla is eligible to show ads. According to Google's published SDK disclosure, these services may automatically collect and share the following data with Google for advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes:
- An IP address, which may be used to estimate general location.
- App interactions such as launches, taps, and ad/video interactions.
- Diagnostics such as launch time, hang rate, and energy use.
- Android advertising ID, app set ID, and, where applicable, other identifiers related to signed-in accounts on the device.
Google encrypts this network data in transit using TLS. Where required in your region, Google's consent form is shown before an ad request; where available, you can reopen your choices from Lulla Settings. Lulla does not request ads while paid Pro access is active. See Google Mobile Ads' data disclosure and Google's Privacy Policy.
6. Google Play purchases
Monthly/yearly subscriptions and the one-time lifetime unlock are processed by Google Play Billing. Lulla does not access your card number, billing address, or payment-account password. The app processes product identifiers, purchase state, and a purchase token from Google Play to verify Pro access; only entitlement state and the fingerprint described above are stored on device. Payment data collected directly by Google Play is governed by Google's privacy terms.
7. Android permissions
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Notifications | Show live timers and the care reminders you choose. |
| Vibration | Confirm logging actions with quiet haptic feedback. |
| Internet and network state | Communicate with Google ads, consent, and Play services. |
| Run at startup | Reschedule reminders after the device restarts. |
| Advertising ID | Support Google advertising services during free use. |
Lulla does not request contacts, camera, microphone, photo library, precise location, or Health Connect permission.
8. Notification and widget visibility
Depending on your Android notification settings, active-timer notifications and reminders may show a baby's name, care type, and time on the lock screen. The Lulla home-screen widget may also show a baby's name, last feeding/diaper time, and daily feeding/sleep summaries. Anyone with access to your device or lock screen may see this information. You can manage visibility in Android's notification and home-screen settings.
9. Children
Lulla is designed for adult parents and caregivers and is not directed to children. Information entered may be about a child, but it is entered by an adult and does not leave the device through Lulla's core care features. Zenova Apps does not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Security
Local information is kept in Android's app-protected storage. Exported files are shared through Android FileProvider with limited, temporary read permission. Google states that Google Mobile Ads network data is encrypted in transit using TLS. No internet-connected system can offer absolute security; use a device lock and a supported Android version.
11. Retention and deletion
- An individual record deleted from History is first hidden for undo and remains marked as deleted in the local database; “Delete all logs” or clearing app data physically removes it.
- Settings → Privacy & data → Delete all logs permanently deletes care events for every baby profile from the local database; profile names/dates of birth and app preferences remain.
- To remove all Lulla data from the device, including profiles and settings, use Android Settings → Apps → Lulla → Storage → Clear data or uninstall the app.
- Temporary PDF/CSV files may remain in app cache until Android clears the cache, you clear app data, or you uninstall Lulla.
- Copies in Android cloud backup are governed by your Google account's backup and retention rules and may later be restored to a device.
Lulla creates no online Lulla account and sends no care records to a Zenova Apps server, so there is no online Lulla account for us to delete. Use Google's privacy controls for data retained through Google ads or Play services.
12. Medical-use limitation
Lulla is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Its records help organize care and do not replace advice from a qualified medical professional.
13. Changes
If data practices or legal requirements change, this policy and the date above will be updated. Material changes may also be described in app release notes where appropriate.
14. Contact
